A huge thank you to all the artists, volunteers and everyone else involved. You made yesterday's festival so special.
Your passion and hard work made it an unforgettable first event.
Maybe this festival has a future after all, we're excited to see where it goes from here!

We wanted to bring together different people, generations and musical worlds to break down stereotypes and foster connections. So on 21st September 2024, Eastbelgica hosted two events:

Our symphony orchestra played film music at our eventlocation at eupen plaza, giving our usual audience a familiar experience at first. In the middle of the concert, they were told that they could attend the second part of the concert at the festival site to experience the symphony orchestra in a different setting.

At the same time, we wanted to step out of our comfort zone with the festival and explore other musical worlds and meet new people. And we also wanted to take the opportunity to introduce ourselves.
It was a big and slightly scary but exciting experiment for Eastbelgica as well as for Aykan who accompanied the orchestra. It was new for both of us and there's still a lot to learn, but we're definitely up for more!
